The 2023 installment of Springbank's annual Hazelburn Sherry Wood release here! It's a 15-year-old unpeated offering, distilled in 2008 and matured in fresh oloroso sherry casks until it was bottled in 2023.
Notes of cherry menthol, red cola, date syrup and black forest gateaux welcome us to this fully Oloroso matured Hazelburn. Soft fudge and caramel notes develop over time.
Rich yet balanced on the palate, there are notes of toffee apple, leather-bound books, demerara sugar and creme brulee.
A lingering finish, there are notes of rum-soaked raisins and vanilla sponge.
