“It was last bottle on the shelf, so that helped me make my decision Everyone in Santana Premium Cigars was quiet until they tasted it. This whiskey was excellent. Wonderfully smooth and great on the palate. Pairs great with your favorite cigar!”

Description

Green Spot is a fabulous single pot still whiskey and much loved by the critics. This Irish whiskey has come far from the days when it was only sold in Mitchell's grocer shop in the heart of Dublin, though its flavour profile is still just as robust. The whiskey has matured in a combination of first and second fill bourbon casks as well as sherry casks.

Nose

Hints of peppermint, malt, sweet barley, sugary porridge, creamy vanilla, papaya and citrus.

Palate

Spicy and soft, gentle bourbon oak, green woods, menthol, potpourri.

Finish

Creamy, long finish, vanilla.

Irish Whiskey

Wonderful :-)

Master of Malt Customer Aug 4, 2016

The best Irish whiskey I have ever tasted.

Saturday was able to visit with a friend who traveled to Dublin for work a few weeks back. First time there for him and he absolutely loved it. He brought back a couple of bottles of this whiskey. We only cracked one bottle, because we already had another bottle of a Japanese label already open and dipped into, but I can tell you, this is the real deal. Once this was tried, it was the whiskey for the rest of the night until we reached the end of the bottle. The flavor was incredible, full but not too strong or overpowering with too much sweetness and it had just the right warm burn going down when sipped, and I can tell you, it made for an enjoyable evening. If you have not had the pleasure of trying this label I recommend highly that you try this, you will leave happy in the end. Looking forward to trying the Yellow Spot next.

One of a Kind!

I've been looking for a blend to replace Crown Rotal #16 since they no longer provide it here in the US. in my opinion, Green Spot meets and exceeds in flavor and quality! Love it!

It's a smooth operator

Best Irish Whiskey I've ever had. Love it. Unfortunately, so does everyone else so we run out fast.

Amazing

I loved every bit of this whiskey from the first whiff upon opening the bottle to the last sip of the evening. Smooth, thick mouth feel, amazing balance of aromas and flavors.
