Green Spot is a fabulous single pot still whiskey and much loved by the critics. This Irish whiskey has come far from the days when it was only sold in Mitchell's grocer shop in the heart of Dublin, though its flavour profile is still just as robust. The whiskey has matured in a combination of first and second fill bourbon casks as well as sherry casks.
Hints of peppermint, malt, sweet barley, sugary porridge, creamy vanilla, papaya and citrus.
Spicy and soft, gentle bourbon oak, green woods, menthol, potpourri.
Creamy, long finish, vanilla.

This is my first (but not my last) Single Pot Still Whiskey. Excellent for the money, smooth and rewarding. Drank it straight. I look forward to trying others.
Normally I prefer the super peaty and smokey malts. But this was a wonderful surprise and I note almost all reviews speak of 'apple' in the 'nose' and taste and this is obvious to any taster.
This is confectionery in a bottle. Whiskey with all the flavours of an old sweet shop infused.
Great value irish whiskey.
Just now enjoying the second glass since I got this. Very smooth whiskey. The green apple really stands out on the nose and tasting. Very creamy. Nothing heavy on the back end, makes for a very moreish drink. If you’re looking for something heavy this isn’t the one, but if it’s light and fruity with nothing bad going for it you’re after… this is it.
