The first ever single pot still Irish whiskey finished in Bordeaux casks! The choice of Bordeaux wine is also significant - Ch. Léoville Barton is not only a highly-regarded grand cru Château, but one that takes its name from the Irish 'Wine Geese' winemaker Thomas Barton. In fact, Léoville Barton is still run by his descendants to this day. This bottling is a celebration of shared Irish heritage.
Matured initially in a mixture of oloroso sherry, fresh American oak and bourbon barrels, this Green Spot whiskey is then finished in the Château Léoville Barton Bordeaux wine casks for 12 to 24 months.
Wild raspberry, a little pot pourri, crab apple, honey and gingerbread.
Toffee, green apple, lemon peel, vanilla, redcurrant and warming spice.
Long and quite dry with cereal and plenty more spiciness!

I really like Green Spot and this adds an extra complexity to standard. I would recommend it, I lost 1/4 a bottle in the first sitting and I don't often drink that much in one sitting. Yummy!
I've tried at least 300+ whiskies ranging from $30-$3000 from clean to smokey and honestly this is probably my favorite ...alongside Jameson Middleton and Habiki 18.
Greenspot is known as one of the best Ireland has to offer, that still stands, This Greenspot LB is a completely different beast, but no less outstanding. GLB is like nothing ive tasted before. Sometimes, after a few drams of various whiskeys, it can be difficult to identify one over another, but never with this. IT has a masively floral nose with a lot of sweatness and fruitness. On the tongue its slightly spicy but with a lot of fruits, and a lightness that makes you almost taste bubbles! The finish is soft and aromatic, like sweet apples & peaches, with a little spice and the round body of a good pot still. You cannot go wrong with this, If you dont like this, then you dont like whiskey. Its some of the best Ireland has to offer.
I really like Green Spot and when I went to get another bottle was convinced to try this one. This was a huge mistake as it is horrible compared to the normal Green Spot, just a really strong alcohol taste spoiling any chance of getting any other flavour. I won't buy it again.
Delicious. If you like a sweet Irish whiskey you can't go wrong with this. The wine casks add an extra dimension to an already top class whiskey. Strong oak at the start and the sweetness sets in, vanilla and berries rule the pallet in the end. A drying finish but the taste of raspberry persists
