Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Sweet notes of zesty lemon curd and floral honeysuckle, buttered shortbread, and red apple. Soft caramel chocolates and vanilla pod join along the way.

Palate: Elegant layers of Custard Cream biscuits and white chocolate with hazelnuts are joined by hints of honeyed fig and vanilla tablet.

Finish: More gentle spice, with creamy oak and biscuity malt in tow. Fresh orchard fruits, cream crackers, and milky tea linger.

Reviews for Speyside 8 Year Old 2014 Single Cask (Master of Malt)
Great value but don't expect too much!
Ordered this because the 6 year old was out of stock, and I wasn't disappointed. A great value easy drinking whisky. Not the most complex, but at this price what can you expect? 3 stars for the complexity/taste; but increased to 4 stars because it is excellent value for money.

Sitting sipping this generously floral 8yo. A perfect, no fuss, engaging drink. Think I’ll have another one….

M of M Speyside 8 yes please.
Very pleasing Speyside 8 year old whiskey. Enjoyed the 6 year old version which was also very enjoyable to drink. This was sold out so thought I would try this 8 year old recommended by M of M , right 👍 up my street as the whiskey doesn't burn the back of my throat unlike some .

Cheap and cheerful... and "pure"
I love whisky and whiskey, single malt, single cask, blends, whatever. And I confess with no shame, I sometimes buy those cheap supermarket malts full of caramel colour and stuff. I also bought this bottom shelf cheapie and it's bangin'. Even better, it's single cask, non-chill filtered and natural colour and even at 40%, is FULL of flavour. Brilliant value
