Speyside 30 Year Old 1992 (cask 17240) - Xtra Old Particular (Douglas Laing)

Distilled in 1992 at Speyside distillery, this single malt Scotch went on to mature for 30 years in a single sherry butt. It was bottled in 2023 for the Xtra Old Particular series from Douglas Laing, at a naturally low cask strength, and without chill filtration or added colour. At outturn of 538 bottles.

Tasting Note by The Producer

The nose is rich and darkly attractive, with spiced and macerated red fruits "en croute". The palate is subtly piquant, minted and gently oaked with a later honey and nuts style. Catch walnuts and sweet damp sugary dates amongst the molasses on the finish.
