Speyside 22 Year Old 1998 (cask 1283) - The Whisky Cellar
From The Whisky Cellar independent bottling range comes a single malt from the Speyside Distillery - you don't see all that many indies from the Speyside Distillery these days! It was aged in a single American oak hogshead from October 1998 to March 2021, before eventually being bottled up at 52.8% ABV, with an outturn of just 103 bottles.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Honeyed barley, with floral wafts of spring blossom coming in from all angles.
Palate
Fruitier on the palate, with honeydew melon and apricot, plus more of that honeyed malt.
Finish
Lasting oaky spices and a touch of cigar box.
