Reviews for SPEY Byron's Choice The Marriage
Most delicate port finish
This is a generous whisky and the port wood hues are all out and will stick to your tongue for long minutes. Port cask finish are often a hit or miss and this one, a single batch of 1,200 bottles, is certainly a home run. The overwhelming white chocolate and port aromas match the vibrant flavors of cacao, caramel fudge, clean vanilla, sweet port and dark berry fruits notes that linger forever. This is an "in the corner, unique" whisky that you'll never find such exquisite quality around anytime or anymore, a one off, a superb NAS beauty that deserved to be drank, while it last. One thing for sure if you're looking for that port influenced luxurious whisky: you won't be disappointed!
