Smells nice to the nose, but stops there, I find a bit harsh for a SM, some of the blends iv'e tried like JW Black are much better as a cheap whisky, won't buy again.

One of the best fire-side whiskeys to get you through winter. Nice darkish and Amber colouring, good movement around the glass and a rich lingering taste on the palate, with a rare bouquet of mixed aroma's tintalating the nose. Not so strong as to need help getting up, but does give you a lovely glow after a few glasses.
Well recommended!

A total bruiser
This isn't what you'd describe as a subtle and delicate malt. It's a young, boisterous whisky which I imagine would make those with a more delicate palate reel back in horror upon tasting. It has a cacophony of a nose, and on the palate it's sharp and rough. The flavours are big and unsophisticated, stewed fruit, cigars, navy rum, hogsheads of caramel. I approached this dram expecting the very worst, and I must say I've been very pleasantly surprised - it has a lot of character. Despite its excesses, it's a fun ride.
