Speyburn 8 Year Old 2008 (cask 11785) - Provenance (Douglas Laing)

Speyburn 8yo #11785 Bottling Note

A youthful Speyburn single malt Scotch whisky, independently bottled by Douglas Laing for the Provenance range. It was aged in a single refill hogshead for 8 years, from December 2008 to May 2017, before it was bottled without chill-filtration or any additional colouring. 300 bottles were produced.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose Gentle biscuit, custard and orange peel sweetness initially with plenty of cereal and malt underneath.

Palate Liquorice and fennel notes bring depth to multiple citrus zest, dry chewy oak and a touch of almond pastries.

Finish Quite long with lots of creamy vanilla and hints of spice.
