Speyburn 28 Year Old 1989 (batch 18/022) - Connoisseurs Choice (Gordon & MacPhail)

A Gordon & MacPhail bottling of 28 year old single malt from the Speyburn distillery, drawn from a pair of refill American hogsheads. It was distilled in 1989 and bottled in March 2018 as part of the Connoisseurs Choice range (which recently had a bit of a redesign!). 528 bottles were produced.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose

Pineapple and papaya, with a touch of almond underneath.

Palate

More nutty malt follows on the palate, alongside a burst of fresh grapefruit and resinous oak.

Finish

A touch of thyme and fennel.
