A high-ABV variation on the classic Smokehead Islay single malt, Smokehead High Voltage is described as an "all-out attack" on your senses by its producer. Which, y'know, sounds pretty intense. If you're a fan of heavily-peated whisky, this'll be right up your street.
Also, yes, it was incredibly hard to resist making an Electric Six reference when writing this bottling note.
Burnt biscuits, dried earth and a kick of black pepper.
Oily barley and intense campfire smoke, with a hint of brown sugar underneath.
Sea salt, oat cakes and smoked paprika.
Shits all over the regular Smoke Head. That was just a poor man’s laphroaig. This is pay good money for
Grilled ham/bacon dipped in sea water then rolled in dark chocolate. Yummy!
This is the business in the taste stakes overall I couldn't fault this spot on now one of my favourite malts
Delivery arrived this morning and just had a sample taste... The tasting notes don't lie. If you like peaty Islay whisky you will love this. Rich, deep nose and wonderfully warming. Enjoy...
Wow this is what I call bang for the buck! I am suprised this whisky is only 650 sek, I would compare this with lagavulin cask strengths and octomore, maybe not really as good but no way this is only worth half the price!
