This excellent Swedish whisky was matured in a first-fill bourbon barrel for eight years, before being bottled up at cask strength. That's Smögen founder Par Caldenby on the label, greeting you on Hållö Island. Sounds like a welcoming place to us!

More peanut notes – now it's peanut brittle! Malty vanilla and some peppery sandalwood.
BBQ charred lemon and a dry spiciness.
very nice, gently smoky. Only bought a sample, not sure it’s worth the money for a full bottle, but a very nice whisky. very fond of Swedish whisky generally.
