Smögen 6 Year Old 2011 - 6/6
It's always exciting to see what those Smögen folks are up to. Very often is results in tasty whisky - like this one! 6/6 was distilled on the 6th of June 2011 (the 6th of June is the National Day of Sweden, by the way) and matured for 6 years in a pair of new, charred, 225 litre Swedish oak barrels. A release of 840 bottles.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Cinnamon, rich oak with a hint of earthiness, some sweet caraway hints.
Palate
Fruitier on the palate than the nose might suggest, boasting hints of damson and white peach. Still has that earthy oak element running through it.
Finish
Medium length, lightly spices.
