5 year old Swedish single malt from the Smögen distillery, released as part of the Sherry Project series. This particular expression is Sherry Project 2:2, and was matured in first-fill sherry quarter casks, which are smaller than your run-of-the-mill casks, meaning more surface area for interaction between the wood and whisky. 1,725 bottles were produced.
Honey-glazed ham, dark chocolate truffle and malt loaf.
Sherried sweetness sits at the fore, while meaty peat sticks around in the background.
Fudge dotted with raisins, burnt ends, a hint of orange oil freshness.
