Smögen 4 Year Old 2013 Sherry Project 2:1

Following the roaring success of Smögen's Sherry Project 1, the small Swedish distillery is following it up with the aptly-named Sherry Project 2! The first release in Sherry Project 2 has been made with heavily peated barley and matured for 4 years in octave casks that previously held Oloroso Sherry. A release of 1,382 bottles.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose

Sherried orange peel, cherries, earthy peat and brandy butter.

Palate

Chewy treacle and molasses, with a good kick of Sherry-drench raisin. Fiery smoke and oily malt.

Finish

Strong coffee and burnt ends.
