Slyrs 6 Year Old Bottling Note

We've independently bottled a single cask of 6 year old Bavarian single malt whisky from the Slyrs distillery! It was distilled in March 2010 and set aside to age in a second fill American white oak barrel until April 2016, when it joined our Single Cask Series.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Freshly baked Chelsea buns topped with icing and cinnamon. Brazil nut, lychee and robust, meaty malt. A drop of water brings forward rye grain.

Palate: The rye notes continue on the palate. Sesame Snaps, grapefruit peel and brown sugar. Give it a few drops of water and you'll be greeted by creamy vanilla custard notes.

Finish: Soft peach flesh, malted milk biscuits and slightly savoury hint of French toast.

Wonderful and a bit different

I've not bought a German whisky before. But this is truly wonderful: crisp, full of character. And you can definitely nose the cinnamon
