A heavily peated single malt from the Highlands of Scotland, Siren Bay is brimming with notes of coastal smoke and elegant fruit. Matured for a generous 18 years, a portion of the whisky aged in oloroso sherry casks, imparting sumptuous layers of sweetness and spice to the hearty peat smoke that sings at its core.
Salty sea spray, preserved plums, and lemon shortbread join waves of herbaceous, tarry peat smoke. A smidge of wood polish and first-aid box murmur beneath.
Soft, creamy notes of vanilla tablet soon give way to robust, vegetal peat. There are coastal notes of charred samphire, backed by custard tarts, and baked, spiced apples.
Salted toffee, rich oak spice, grilled stone fruits with a sprinkle of pepper, meaty malt, and layers of pungent peat smoke.

As a huge Ledaig fan, and I bought this based on the tasting notes by MoM. I firmly believe this is a definitely a peated Tobermory that I’m used to and for the price fully justifiable. I certainly was not disappointed and even had to buy a second bottle as a back up.
Really easy-drinking whisky with some real honeyed tones. Gentler than a lot of the older whiskies. Only downside is you drink it far too quickly.
