We present Beyoncé’s whisky. No, seriously.
Teaming up with LVMH, the iconic singer honours the legacy of her great-grandfather Davis Hague, who made whisky four generations ago with a unique blend of whiskies that bears his name: SirDavis.
The whisky was crafted by the man who makes Glenmorangie and Ardbeg, Dr Bill Lumsden. The mash bill is 51% rye and 49% barley and SirDavis underwent a secondary maturation in sherry casks. It was finished, blended, and bottled in Texas. Intriguing stuff.
But, also, you know. It’s THE Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter, people.
Tasting Note by The Producer
Nose Tangy Seville oranges mingle with soft sun-kissed raisins, while the sizzling spices of clove, cinnamon, and ginger play with luxurious notes of Demerara sugar and toffee.
Palate Rich & buttery toffee are followed by an array of spices with cinnamon, clove, and classic rye spice up front. Followed by soft malty and biscuity notes intertwined with a vibrant citrus top note.
Finish Hints of honey are encountered with a soft, lingering finish reminiscent of plump sultanas and ripe cherries.
