Description

Another top blended malt from Shinobu, this 15 year old expression is wonderfully honeyed, spicy and mouth-filling. Its flavour profile is thanks to an initial maturation in bourbon and sherry casks, followed by a finishing period in Japanese Mizunara oak.

Nose

Honeyed malt and blueberry muffin, with hints of tobacco and fresh espresso.

Palate

Crisp notes of lemon and apple lead into baking spice warmth, with oily malt in support.

Finish

Candied ginger and wood spice alongside orchard fruit.

Very drinkable... Dangerously so!

Getting coffee and honey on the nose, woody oak and a pleasant spicy quality to finish. Comparable to other 12-18yr Japanese malts in the best possible ways.

My all new fav Jap whiskey

This is one amazing bottle of whiskey. Very rich and caramelize. Honestly, I must say its almost similar to the Hibiki 21, just that the hibiki is definitely thicker than this. But for the price, I must say this is now my fav jap whiskey.
