A variation of the wonderful Sheep Dip Blended Malt Scotch Whisky, made with malt whiskies from the island of Islay. Plenty of classic Islay character runs through its core, and it's still adorned with the picture of a sheep on the label, so all's good here! The name Sheep Dip comes from the olden days when people in the West Country used to make their own whisky and hide it in barrels marked "SD" to avoid paying taxes on it.
I just read how this scotch beat out Smokehead in the world competition..thus I had to buy it. The nose is definitely an Islay...reminds me of Talisker Storm. The taste is a mixture of Smokehead and Storm. It has a shorter finish than Storm and slightly less smoke than Smokehead. This is a very good mix.
