Seaweed & Aeons & Digging & Fire
Uh oh, it looks like the &Whisky folks have got their hands on the teleporter from The Fly and combined two of their terrific expressions into one! Or they've simply just blended them together to make a marvellous blended malt Scotch whisky. One or the other, probably. Anyway, Seaweed & Aeons & Christmas Cake & Cinnamon is a 50/50 blend of Islay and Speyside single malt whiskies, specifically the Seaweed & Aeons & Digging & Fire and Christmas Cake & Dark Chocolate & Medjool Dates & Cinnamon. The resulting expression offers up sublime smoky, peaty notes with brilliant bursts of dried fruit and festive spices – tremendous stuff!
Mince pies, shortbread, salted butter, sea spray, spiced hot chocolate, and roast chestnuts.
Toasty cinnamon, earthy peat smoke slowly building with a meaty hint underneath, layers of sweet dried fruit revealing themselves along the way.
Smokiness lingers, with simmering touches of cassia and clove.
The best of both worlds in one whisky!

Not bad, not great but v.good value. A good dram for the winter months when your heating bills perhaps dictate some prudence...
A subtle complexity, enjoyable and lingering, but fading to nothing in particular. No distinct depth of character and so more bland than I had hoped for. Good value overall, but not one I would revisit.
I find this smooth and very easy to drink. Not a whisky connoisseur by any means of the imagination but I do love Islay Whisky. This has enough Islay in it to satisfy me. I once had this after having Laphroaig and this helped me taste the "Christmas cake" side to it. I would happily buy this again.
Lovely balance between the smoke and spices and excellent value. Do us a favour and blend a Cask strength version
I was a bit suspicious so only bought a dram to try it out, but it really won me over so I've now bought a full bottle. Really nice twist on my Islay standard.
