Single Malt
Scotland
Highlands and Islands Whisky Company

A great Islay single malt from an unnamed distillery. The Ileach always scores well with the critics, this cask strength edition was awarded a mindblowingly high 97 points by Jim Murray in his 2010 Whisky Bible.

My daughter bought this for me at Christmas and Ileach is the very best whiskey I have ever tasted. Awesome!!!! From Bob Mcintyre
I brought a bottle of this in Edinburgh from the shop staffs recommendation its a really great drop hence arriving back in New Zealand and enjoying my last glass searching for another bottle. The peatyness can be intimidating if your not used to it but you will savor this one greatly
I would say this is a Lagavulin and rather young but it's delecious! Smokehead is Lagavulin as well, High voltage at least :)
I really don't know why some would find this rough and raw. Just a drop of water and a mouthwatering sweetness appears, that envelopes the leathery peat. Top notch for this kind of money.
Very robust whisky with a good taste, preferably after tasting some whisky's before.
