This single malt from New Zealand's Scapegrace is distilled from New Zealand laureate barley before maturing in first-fill French oak casks. With notes of poached pears, vanilla, custard, and coconut, the folks at Scapegrace recommend this in their take on the classic Debonair cocktail! Stir 40ml whisky, 10ml ginger liqueur, and a pinch of salt with ice until chilled, strain into an ice-filled rocks glass, then garnish with a piece of grapefruit peel and a maraschino cherry.

This is a sweet whiskey with lots of honey, vanilla and popcorn notes. Almost comes across as a honey liqueur. For me it is a little one dimensional so maybe not my favourite dram but a fun one to roll out with my friends for a taste of something a little different.
