Bourbon
A 2005 vintage single malt from the Scapa Distillery on Orkney, independently bottled by Gordon & MacPhail. This one was bottled in 2019 as part of the Distillery labels series, all of which feature retro-style labels. On this one, there seems to be a old ship sailing along on the sea, which is fun.
Buttery biscuits, stewed apples, a hint of roasted thyme and some black pepper heat.
Floral honey right as it opens, before developing some savoury barley and oat notes.
Liquorice, cinnamon and creamy lemon.
