Bourbon
A 15 year old single malt from Orkney's Scapa Distillery, which has been independently bottled up by the ever-wonderful Gordon & MacPhail. This particularly edition in the Connoisseurs Choice range was distilled in 2005 and left to age in a first-fill bourbon barrel, before being bottled in 2020 with an outturn of 200 bottles.
Coconut ice, lemon peel, malty bread, plus a hint of salt and pepper crisps.
More fruit-forward than the nose, with pear, apple and white grape notes all making an appearance.
A final whisper of juicy pineapple underneath layers of toffee.
