“This was a great find. As a Scotch drinker, I’ve tried many pot still Irish whiskeys, particularly Sherry cask finishes to broaden my horizons. This was a superb drop, lots of apple and red fruit, amazing texture and long finish. Subtle spice right on the end. ”

Description
The Haven from Sailor's Home is a single pot still Irish whiskey, made with malted and unmalted Irish barley and oats, which has matured in a combination of Oloroso sherry casks and bourbon casks. Creamy and softly sweet, with a good helping of classic single pot still spiciness sneaking through too.

Nose
Croissants, buttered bread, sultanas and ginger.
Palate
Black pepper, nectarine, chocolate chip cookies, cinnamon and dry oak.
Finish
Just a hint of orange peel and honey lasts.
