For this expression, Sagamore blend two ryes sourced from Indiana and add just a dash of spring water, resulting in a full-bodied, powerfully-flavoursome whiskey.
Heavy toffee and menthol, with layers of coffee bean and honey.
Cinnamon gum, orange boiled sweeties, hints of tobacco and dark chocolate develop later on.
Peppery notes linger on the finish, with some nutmeg and cooked apple.

One of my first ryes and I had my doubts since it was 56% ABV but this stuff is amazing. Greatly enjoyed neat I will definitely buy more. I recommend this to almost anyone it is hard to not like something this good.
I was really impressed by the big bold spicy notes and how long the finish was on this rye. Yet dangerously easy to drink for a cask straight. Some interesting vanilla and chocolate notes.
