Sagamore Spirit took its already awesome Signature Rye and treated it to a secondary four month stint in new toasted oak barrels. Hence the name, Double Oak! The toasty, caramel notes from the new oak work wonderfully alongside the sweeter, Maryland-style rye whiskey.
Sweet, spicy grain, with brown sugar, cinnamon butter and oily orange peel.
Apple crumble with a good helping of cinnamon, with dark chocolate praline, a crack of black pepper and creamy ground almond.
Lingering rich sweetness of pecan pie.

“Stands up on its own with some nice vanilla notes and baking spices. It's amazing in an Old Fashioned. Cannot say enough about this Rye. A must try.”

This is a delicious rye. It keeps the spice of a classic rye but replaces a lot of the vegital notes with the caramel sweetness from bourbon.
This is by far my favourite rye and beats the bourbons too. Can’t recommend it enough. It’s great as a straight sipper and if you can tear yourself away from just drinking it as is, it improves any bourbon/rye cocktail. A must try.
Blown away! got a free sample with 'Whisky Santa' , have never really liked anything American but this has changed my perception of Rye completely.
This is delicious. I get baking spices with a buttery note and a hint of dark chocolate. Sweet and spicy and really smooth. Definitely recommend.
In the top 5 American whiskies I’ve tasted. It’s like a cocktail in glass with no bitters required.
