Peaky Blinder Whiskey Bottling Note
This is an Irish whiskey that has enjoyed a finishing period in bourbon barrels before being bottled as part of the Peaky Blinder range from Sadler's. The name comes from a street gang that was around in the late 19th and early 20th Century, a member of which you can see on the label - note the all important cap, which apparently was where the gang name originates.

Love the chocolate, caramel flavour. Don’t ever change it

Good for mixing.
Doesn't compare to what is to me the quintessential Irish whiskey, Jameson. Doesn't smell or taste like any whiskey I've had before, no real distinct smell or taste, definitely a mixer whiskey.

Surprise
What a lovely surprise. This was bought as a gift, and I have no idea why; I’d never heard of the TV show and don’t normally drink Irish blends, and some of the reviews didn’t bode well, but this is rather nice indeed. Opens up well with a little water, and is smooth, fairy sweet and yummy. An easy drinker for these winter nights and I might just check out the TV show after all.

Bland
Bland whisky. No strong aroma of anything. Bland taste no follow through on anything. Disappears very quickly. Might be better with a higher abv but at 40% it's a no.

Caramel has nothing to do in whisky
The first impression of the whiskey is good. Nicely rounded with fresh notes. Actually delicious impression.
But in the final taste, there are so much bold caramel flavor comes through, that it ruins the whole whiskey. The caramel taste seems artificial and not natural in taste. The caramel should be removed immediately. Then the whiskey will be on the right track again.

Reasonable
I'm not sure why you say that this whiskey is English Whisky when the bottle says it is produced in Cork. It is not one of the great Irish Whiskeys but when the deal was a bottle for £15 it was worth a gamble.

Deserves a mixer
Sweet smooth and cheap, makes a difference from the Scotch in my cabinet. Will keep this to mix with coke .

Not palatable.
Really tried to like this but something tastes badly off. It's almost as if a nice smooth vodka had some weird artificial nut or wood flavouring added to it. The pro is that it doesn’t burn. The con is the strange artificial corn syrup kind of taste, almost like a Starbucks syrup. I can see some people liking this but regrettably this is the first time for me where I’m binning the rest of the bottle. Not palatable.
