Reviews for Royal Salute 21 Year Old - Sapphire Flagon
Bitter and not enjoyable with an overwhelming bad taste
Like others that have reviewed this whisky. I’m afraid it seems like the bottle has been victim of not being sealed correctly, something isn’t right with it. Shrink wrapped, and cork in tact. But still some cork in the whisky itself.

Not a fan of this. Very bad overwhelming bitter taste that you can’t get rid of.

Please note that I didn’t buy this from master of malt. It was bought at auction. I just find it funny that quite a lot of other people have had the same experience with it.

Very disappointing!
Frankly very disappointing, as stated elsewhere there are much better blends for for much less money.
I just don’t like Chivas whiskys they have an odd flavour to my palate, it may just be me ...........?

The one to try and savour... 🥃
This is one Scotch Whisky that made me re-think the label brand snobbery, yes we all look for the single malt, the smoke, the peat, the chocolate, the TCP, the vanilla..... Etc. Etc. But this 21 Yr old is full of character like no other... Well to what I have enjoyed (in excess of over 100). It has a well deserved place on my finest whisky shelf.

Great depth, sweet and quite simply a masterpiece
Velvety smooth. Real rich and complex.

Poor taste and flavour.
Bought it from my neighbourhood Dan Murphy in Richmond, Australia. Taste and flavour is below average. Pretty disappointing for the price being charged for it.

Wow! Brilliant.
Outstandingly good in my humble. And superb value for money. It’s sort of got everything one could dream of in an opulent & superbly balanced blend with a Speyside style.

Poor in taste and doubtful in packaging
I purchased a bottle of the 21-year Sapphire Flacon last November in the duty-free shop at KIA, Bangalore. I had reserved the same for a special function, which came up this year. When I opened the bottle, the packaging container and the pouch were impressive. However, much to everyone's surprise, the flacon itself was sealed with a flimsy shrink-plastic. The contents were not too great either...Which prompted everyone to wonder whether the contents were original ornate. The opening flavours were not special nor were the body and after flavours great. Overall, it was disappointing. Not sure if it was a make-believe or a fake. I felt the exorbitant price and that too at an authenticated outlet was a serious let-down.

Way Overrated
There’s an infinite number of much nicer whisky that cost less then this.
The best thing about it is that it looks good on the shelf.
