A 2008 vintage Royal Brackla single malt here, initially filled into a refill hogshead, then re-racked into a first-fill American oak palo cortado quarter cask to complete its 16-year maturation. The cask was opened by Woodrow's of Edinburgh in 2025, releasing 155 cask-strength bottles, packed with notes of buttery pastry, treacle, citrus, and chocolate nut richness.
