Rosebank 32 Year Old (bottled 2023) - Release Three
The Lowland-based Rosebank distillery was closed back in 1993, much to the devastation of its loyal fanbase. Thankfully, the distillery was acquired in 2017 and in 2023, after almost 30 years it began producing its first batches of new make spirit. While we eagerly await future releases, the distillery celebrates its legacy with this, the third and final edition in a series composed of a small quantity of surviving casks from before its closure. Matured for 32 years, this single malt showcases Rosebank's much-adored rich, fruity, floral house style.
Tasting Note by The Producer
Nose
Rich and complex yet elegant and balanced, this 32 Year Old offers sweet aromas of pineapple and candied ginger mingling with lemon and marzipan with hints of white pepper and café latte.
Palate
The mouthfeel is velvety with good body and hints of malt, thyme, butterscotch, tropical fruits, drying oak and softly warming spice.
Finish
A soft and long finish has notes of lemon, honeyed porridge and toasted walnut.
