Riverbourne 3 Year Old (That Boutique-y Whisky Company)
That Boutique-y Whisky Company has gone and bottled up its first batch of single malt whisky from the Riverbourne Distillery as part of its Australian Series! This one is a 3 year old expression, and features some sneaky wombats on the label - the distillery is surrounded by holes dug by wombats, and they even managed to dig into one of the distillery's sheds! Let hope they don't start swiping things like they've done on this label...
Batch 1 is a release of 132 bottles.
‘That Boutique-y Whisky Company’ bottles single malts, single grains and bourbons from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blended malts and blends. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Enjoyably herbaceous, with a hint of tobacco popping up along the way. Some citrus notes and a hint of toffee sweetness.
Palate
Black tea and more herbal oak, plus honeyed malt and a touch of caraway.
Finish
Dry barley, subtle clove and nutmeg, butterscotch, brown bread.
