Whisper it, because if they hear you they'll jack up the price—this stuff is excellent. Rich, sweet, spicy, smooth, and a wonderfully wide, buttery mouthfeel for something in this price range, and frankly better than lots of stuff that costs 2-3x as much. At the very least, it absolutely beats the snot out of any of the standard mass-produced bourbons or ryes one can generally find in the UK, which again are almost always more expensive than this. It's not particularly subtle ... but it's delicious.
Populär ryewhiskey som är tillverkad på heaven hill distillery, Kentucky. Luktar som rågen som finns i en del flingor nästan och utöver det nötter och svag doft av äpple. Smakar råg och nötter samt udda oidentiferade smaker, ganska tydliga smaker överlag. Bulleit Rye var bra mycket godare men denna är fortfarande en helt okej amerikansk whisky utav de få jag provat. Provade en del vatten men gjorde varken till eller från, kanske mer ifrån till och med.
This is one of the best rye whiskies I had ever, definitely comparable to bottles 3 to 4 times as much. Stock up when you find it.
In a world where getting good Rye outside of the US is becoming a major headache - this is an example that is always available and always in my cabinet. Combined with Antica Formula it's probably my top Manhattan Rye, and it's got enough depth and complexity to be drunk straight (when napped a little). Non-US markup is horrendous on all Rye's - this is available for $24+local taxes in the US, but if you aren't planning a trip to the states soon it's easily the best value available in the UK in £.
