A rye whiskey in the Pennsylvania style, this "carries a famous old Philadelphia name". Very tasty and aromatic.
Dried fruits and soft spices. Cocoa and butterscotch, alongside orange peel, cinnamon and caramel.
Thick, fruity palate with chocolate oranges, cassia bark, nutmeg and oak.
Tangy fruit and quite coppery. Marmalade and spice.

My go-to Rye for old fashions and Manhattans. At 100 proof, it won't be overly diluted in a cocktail. Your price of $39 is Excessive. I pay $26 to $29 in MA, and have paid as littles as $23 in Georgia.
«With this one you can’t go wrong» var beskjeden innehaveren av speaialbutikken for vin og sprit ga meg. Anbefales!
There is nothing trendy about this whiskey. The bottle doesn’t “do” anything cool. You can’t put ten labels together and make a treasure map. It doesn’t come to the liquor store strapped to the leg of a large bird of prey. The still used to make this whiskey does not employ the use of a Flux Capacitor either. What it does do is perform as an outstanding Rye and has been doing so for years...every bottle, every glass. It’s not the most widely used Rye by bartenders for no reason my friends....
Highly recommend, this rye is delicious. Add it to your collection, you won’t be disappointed. Great value for money.
I got this one because it was Ralfy-recommended. I prefer single malt Scotch, but do enjoy bourbon and rye. Not sure if I prefer rye to bourbon yet, but it's a journey. This one is well done. And at the price (here in the US) - a must have.
