    Reservoir Hunter & Scott Bourbon

While their Bourbon, Rye and Wheat expressions are all made with 100% corn, 100% rye and 100% wheat (respectively), the folks at the Reservoir distillery are also rather accomplished at blending these spirits into fine tipples, too. This is their Hunter & Scott Bourbon, made with a combination of grains - not just one!

    BAD

I really wished it tasted and nosed like the notes claim. But it smells chemically and taste the same. Plastic Bourbon is best I can come up with.

    Makes my dessert taste bad

Waste of hard earned money, wish I researched this more. It makes my dessert taste bad. Chemical ragweed...sad I will be pouring this down the drain.

    Great Bottle of Bourbon Whiskey

I think most of the reviewers here are nuts. I love a good bourbon whiskey and this one one of them. I bought this on a whim since I had never had of it. The liquor store owner said I would enjoy it. He was right. I will buy it again.

    Poor-forced aging

This is for their "bourbon whiskey". Only $38. Color is beautiful copper brown. That's where it ends. I know Virginia has a great distilling history and wasn't afraid to buy this given it's color...I knew nothing about it. Brought it home...wow major disappointment. Then I did some research. This "whiskey" is forced. Meaning, and they really tout this on their website, it is aged one year...one...during that year it is heated and cooled and heated and froze and heated etc. to simulate "the equivalent of 10 years". This is a horrible sham happening due to the incredible popularity of bourbon. I love the art of distilling and I bet their distillate is great but they are shooting themselves in the foot by releasing this after one year. I am sure they need the money but I'll never buy their product again.

    Tastes like mothballs

Something is wrong with this bourbon. This is by far the worst bourbon I have ever tasted. It smells and tastes like mothballs. I took a bottle to a bourbon tasting with friends (15 bottles and 20 people). We poured this bottle down the drain! Sad and horrible.
