While their Bourbon, Rye and Wheat expressions are all made with 100% corn, 100% rye and 100% wheat (respectively), the folks at the Reservoir distillery are also rather accomplished at blending these spirits into fine tipples, too. This is their Hunter & Scott Bourbon, made with a combination of grains - not just one!
Melted chocolate, peach, pistachio ice cream and honeysuckle.
A slight vegetal hint as it opens, before raisin, caramel and fried banana notes take control.
Milky coffee, cinnamon and menthol.

For a bourbon that is 17 years old I was hoping for a great bourbon, this one is not. Like the other comments, it has a weird plasticky taste. They should have poured it out instead of bottling it. I will try to chill it and see if that helps but I feel like it won't.
I sadly need to concur with the other reviewers. Very odd nose with a distinctly plastic note. While it may be a single grain bourbon, it lacks any of the characteristics of a classic bourbon. The finish is not bad, once the chemical, or perhaps vegetal, notes subside, but this is not pleasant. I had it neat, in a rocks glass, with a small splash of water. Once I added the water, the strong, unusual, notes became pronounced. I would not recommend it, and certainly not for the money. I would much prefer to drink Jack Daniels, and I strongly dislike Jack.
I concur with the negative reviews. Very strange taste. I consider it a waste of $40.
Did a blind tasting at a party with this bottle, makers and weller. Hunter and Scott won.
Got some plastic/chemical aftertaste. Spend your money elsewhere.
