Redbreast Tawny Port Cask Edition
From the Redbreast Iberian Series comes the Tawny Port Edition, a triple distilled single pot still Irish whiskey matured initially in bourbon and oloroso sherry casks for eight to ten years before being re-casked into Tawny Port hogsheads. It was bottled at 46% ABV.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Creamy hazelnut, cinnamon, marmalade, figs, sandalwood, and dark chocolate.
Palate
Sherried fruits and aromatic spices mingle together among more rich chocolatey and nutty goodness, as well as some caramel, dried cherry, and vanilla.
Finish
Dried mango and apricots, as well as notes of sage and honey.
