Characterful layers of tannic oak balance rich, fruit-forward sweetness, with juicy sultanas, blackberries, and plums.

I purchased the 18 Yr Redbreast which I'd seen a review on and decided to bite the bullet based upon the fact it wasn't a product I'd previously had any exposure to admittedly it's a little pricey but you get what you pay for. This is an absolute amazing Irish whiskey which promised what it gave with notes of autumn fruits, and chocolate fig and orange peel which I found to be smooth on the palate and throughly enjoyable. I would recommend this to any decerning connoisseur of whiskeys.
I love redbreast 12, 15 and the especially the cask strength 12 so was really looking forward to trying this. Unfortunately, the price has soured the experience for me. It’s a good whiskey and if it was around the £90 mark I wouldn’t have any complaints. It’s got all the hallmarks of a redbreast but a little too much Sherry for my tastes and a lack of depth considering the age.
