A 100 proof edition of Rebel Bourbon – which means its bottled up at 50% ABV, in case you're not too familiar with the alcohol measurement system from across the pond. It's a wheated bourbon, so there'll be oodles of creamy, softly peppery notes to enjoy, all bolstered by the additional strength behind it.
Gingerbread and chocolate-chip cookie, with some okay heat building underneath.
Buttered corn dusted with black pepper, slightly oily at points, sweet toffee and citrus notes, just a hint of charred oak.
Cinnamon gum, vanilla pod, and white chocolate.
I have to agree with the previous review of this bottle for the price point this is well worth it. I have been a fan of high proof bourbon but this one hits a little different if you are fishing or outdoors this is worth a try.
Not going to knock your socks off or instantly become your favorite bourbon, but I paid $24 in NC and for that price and 100 proof it is great value and packs a peppery corn and spice bite , not too sweet, not too much oak, decent finish of caramel corn and vanilla. I prefer more of a sweet tea, vanilla, cherry, tobacco profile so i would still give Coopers craft 100 proof or WT 101 the nod over this one, but would not complain if offered a neat pour or 2-3 oz over a single large rock of ice.
