This is the first Indian single malt whisky from the Radico Khaitan distillery (previously known as the Rampur distillery, hence the name), which is in Uttar Pradesh to the north of India. The distillery itself dates back to the 1940s, but this is their first single malt to make it to our shores!
Thyme honey, dried apricot, cinnamon and vanilla custard.
Tropical fruits, more rich vanilla, apple and a touch of pepper.
Long and quite drying.

Wonderful Dram! My new daily drinker. However..... I checked 5 different bottles from 2 different stores (100 miles apart). None of the bottles were airtight. Some were wet with whiskey. All leaked when tilted. Found the cork was a looser fit than all other whiskies we checked. Cork easily pulls straight out.
Indian paan flavor... It can't be acheived through bourbon Sherry or oak, it's artificial flavors
Awesome. Very different from anything else I've tried and I've tried hundreds. I'm suspect there are some artificial betel flavor (terrific flavor)
