RAER Oloroso Expression
Glasgow's Jackton distillery released a trio of sherry-finished blended whiskies as part of its RAER collection. This edition was treated to a stay in first-fill oloroso sherry casks from Jerez, bringing vibrant fruit and candied nut sweetness that'll work a treat alongside a handful of nuts and raisins, and a couple of squares of dark chocolate, according to the Jackton team.

Nose
Rich and nutty with sweet dried fruit depth.
Palate
Stewed berries and baked orchard fruits join waves of caramel and vanilla, with hints of banana bread nestling beneath.
Finish
Lingering sweetness and spice, candied nuts, plump sultanas and fruit cake.
