This 23-year-old Pulteney from Decadent Drams is an old school Highland whisky, rich, waxy, and coastal. Distilled in 2002 and drawn from a single refill barrel, it keeps the distillate front and centre, layering chalky minerality with citrus brightness and that unmistakable oily Pulteney freshness. Just 222 bottles were filled at 56.2% ABV.
Lemon zest, chalk dust and waxed citrus peel with coastal herbs and mineral depth. Soft orchard fruit and briny malt lift beneath.
Waxy and oily with salted lemon, crushed minerals, warm malt and an undercurrent of coastal breeze. Citrus oils, candlewax and gentle sweetness.
Long, chalky and maritime. Wax, citrus rind and briny malt glow to the end.
