This single malt hails from the Pulteney distillery up in the Highlands, and makes an impressive addition to Gordon & MacPhail's independent Connoisseurs Choice range. Matured for 23 years in a single ex-bourbon cask between 1998 and 2022, a total of 243 bottles were released at 56.6% ABV.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: A whiff of smoked sea salt, honeyed oats, currant buns, and chocolate peanuts.

Palate: Rich oak with aromatic tobacco, butterscotch, and woody vanilla in tow. Buttery barley remains bold at the core, with roasted nuts, and salted chocolate.

Finish: Herbal honey, candied citrus, salted almonds, finishing up with warming notes of spicy cedar.
