Description
A litre bottle of 13-year-old single malt from Old Pulteney, originally released as part of the distillery's Travel Retail range. The whisky was drawn from a selection of American and Spanish oak casks that spent their time resting in Old Pulteney's coastal warehouses.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Apple pastries with dollops of vanilla custard and a dusting of cinnamon. Dry, woody spice develops beneath, alongside orange zest and stone fruits.
Palate
Toffee, cakey spice, and syrupy flapjack are backed by candied almonds and floral honey.
Finish
Oaken vanilla lingers beside honeyed sultanas and salted mango, with a touch of leathery drying oak tow.
