A good value for money blended Scotch whisky, elegant with caramel and light cereal notes. The name, MacNaMara, literally means 'Son of the Sea'.

Nose

Butterscotch, lightly peated malt, crushed almonds.

Palate

Grassy notes develop, with touches of raisin and butter.

Finish

Continued grassy elements, with a final touch of peat.

Acceptable Basic Blend.

Didn't know what to expect with this one and it certainly ain't a bad bottle with it's very easy, soft toffee and gentle mouthfeel. Doesn't quite have the power of Teachers or the complexity that Chivas Regal 12 has at a similar price point. An acceptable basic blend. - Jeff Whisky

Very nice

Great whisky for the price, although only a blended dram very smooth. Well worth a try.
