A single pot still release of Powers whiskey. It's matured in a combination of bourbon and oloroso sherry casks, and named after the distillery where it was first made, now sadly closed.
Barley, copper, fresh oak, leather, and juicy fruit.
Very smooth with vanilla, dry spice, chocolate and coffee. There is dark fruit here too, raisins and blackcurrants.
More vanilla and drying copper notes.
A very well balanced whiskey with not a note out of place. Lovely.

I first tasted this in a restaurant in Oughterard in Galway - sublime! As a newbie to the delights of whiskey I fell in love with this! My darling husband searched high and low to find it somewhere and came up with you! I keep it though for special dinners and guests who appreciate something special !
Excellent with quite a kick
Simply the best Irish Whiskey I've ever encountered... So full of dried fruit and honeyed notes - and unlike many other Irish whiskeys, it's not subtle on the nose and taste! Its aromas are extremely present while being smooth altogether. A heck of an experience this whiskey. A must have on your whisky shelf!
Recently travelled to Ireland and tried as many different whiskeys as I could. This one was the best and the only one I brought home with me. Will not disappoint!
