“Big fan of the Powers Gold which is out of stock so went up a class and boy is this a good one. Lovely smooth whiskey, plenty of dried fruit on palate, good length. Its excellent value for money.”

Description
A single pot still release of Powers whiskey. It's matured in a combination of bourbon and oloroso sherry casks, and named after the distillery where it was first made, now sadly closed.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Barley, copper, fresh oak, leather, and juicy fruit.
Palate
Very smooth with vanilla, dry spice, chocolate and coffee. There is dark fruit here too, raisins and blackcurrants.
Finish
More vanilla and drying copper notes.
Overall
A very well balanced whiskey with not a note out of place. Lovely.
