Our allocation of this limited release was made available via a bottle lottery that has now closed. We received hundreds of entries and will be in touch with the lucky winners shortly. Read more on the blog.
Old single grain Scotch whiskies are a joy – elegant, aromatic and refined. Now just imagine the character of the oldest whisky ever bottled by Diageo... That's exactly what we've got our hands with this 52 year old Port Dundas, distilled way back in 1964(!). The year the Beatles released their first album and the Beach Boys' I Get Around hit number one, the spirit that was to become this Special Release came off the Port Dundas still and went into refill American hogsheads. Just 752 bottles have been made available, marking this incredible expression out as even more extraordinary.
Bottle Lottery Timeline:
10:30 Tue 12th September – 15:00 Thu 14th
Please note: On the back of these bottles we'll be adding the message “I, [your lucky winning name], hereby swear not to sell this bottle – but to drink it with my chums. May my taste-buds and olfactory bulb shrivel and die if I should break my word.”
Full and expressive with notes of dried coconut, granola, rum, vanilla and coffee Revels. Plenty of tropical fruit too.
Nougat and bourbon, and then all that goodness from the nose starts to carry over and you can't help but smile. Really impressive grain whisky.
Tunnock's Snowballs in all their desiccated coconut covered glory with touches of grapefruit to boot.
